In general, you have two options to look for a job in Germany. You may apply for a “job seeker’s visa” to enter into Germany and later you can start your job search. Once you make an agreement, then you should renew your visa with “Work Visa”.
The second way is simply to give us a call or to drop an e-mail and wait for us to deal all details, company correspondence until we find a job for you.
Those who choose the first option should go to Germany and actively look for a job there after waiting a long time for the visa to be issued. However, you will remain in Germany during this process and may have to pay all costs such as accommodation, food and travel expenses out of your own pocket.
Alternatively, our expert teams can apply to open positions in Germany on your behalf and follow up details. Messages from employers are immediately translated into your language or in English and will be forwarded to you. Likewise, your responses will be forwarded to the employer after they have been translated into German.
Having a signed employment contract between you and your new employer is our ultimate goal. Additionally, if you need our support to manage your registration, housing and other onetime stuff after you move to Germany, please have a look at our Support in Germany page.
Some criteria for employers
Since you are coming from abroad, German companies might be sensitive about your employment and might consider two parameters. However, those criteria can be more or less applied to job conditions everywhere.
- The most important criteria is your profession. Germany needs more and more healthcare professionals, IT specialists, mechanical, electrical or mechatronic engineers and technicians as well as cooks. If your profession falls into one of them listed herein, it will be relatively easy for you to find a job in Germany. However, please keep in mind that Germany is open for applications from almost all professions.
- While some companies require German language skills of at least B2 or even C1 level, for some others it is enough to have English skills to start working in Germany. Few employers (especially Turkish ones) are willing to hire you without any foreign language skills. When you start working in Germany, we advise you to improve your language level as soon as possible.
